All the Books I Own But Have Not Read (Part 2)

About one and a half weeks ago, I published the first part of this little two-part post, in which I listed 12 books that I own but have not read. Now it's time for me to list the other half of books that I have not read, and let me tell you this: the list is even longer than I thought. In my last post, I said that I had around 23 or 24 books in total, and it turns out that I have 24 books in my collection that I have not read. 13. The Melted Coins by Franklin W. Dixon (The Hardy Boys series) This is another book that I got from Em as a gift. It's a part of her tradition to give me a book on holidays or birthdays. So far, they're mostly old Nancy Drew  or Hardy Boy  books, but I did get one other book as I mentioned in part 1 . 14. Crossed by Ally Condie Crossed  is the second book of the Matched  trilogy that you may not have seen a bit around bookstagram. Or maybe you even read it or don't know about it at all. It's another one of your futuristic soc...

All the Books I Own But Have Not Read (Part 1)

As of Wednesday, June 21st, summer is officially here. Ah: summer. That season when the sun comes out and kids get off from school. And, yes, while this does sound nice, this also means that it's going to be really hot and you're going to have so much time on your hands that you won't know what to do with it. Lucky for me, however, I also happen to own a whole bunch of books that I haven't yet read. That's reasonable, though, right? Us bookworms find it a little hard to buy just one book when going to the bookstore, and since you kinda have a reputation for loving books, there's a good chance that you'll receive two or three books around holidays and birthdays. And you don't even want to get me started about book sales. Therefore, the books just start to pile up a bit. And while you'd love to read them, school and/or work and just life in general gets in the way. However, the school year ended quite a bit ago. Summer vacation has begun. I fi...

2017 Reading Goals

So, since 2017 is officially here (and has been for about two weeks), I figured I might as well post about our reading goals for the year! I'll also attempt figuring out all of the books I read in 2016, but I know it'll be far from accurate as I did not write it down and I know I won't remember everything! For 2016, I actually didn't make any reading goals. I just wanted to finish one book a month, I guess! I can happily say that I did complete this very small goal of mine. (Some people aim for 100 books a year!)

5 Things You Should Know Before Starting a Blog

Hello, everyone! As you may or may not have known, this blog has been going on for almost six months now! I have actually been blogging for longer, as I had another blog with Em before we started this one. So, yeah: I guess you could say that I have a good deal of knowledge on blogging. Blogging is definitely fun and I would recommend it to anyone who was interested in starting a blog, but there are a few things that I think you should know before jumping into the blogging world.

Good LGBT+ Books (Pride Month 2016)

Happy Pride Month, everyone! (That is, if you are in the United States.) Yes, that's right: in the US, it is pride month. Yesterday, it was officially one year since gay marriage was legalized in the United States, making it one year and one day today. In celebration of this, I have formed this post: a post on some good LGBT+ books. I have also made a list of LGBT+ books that I have not read but look good, so you may check that out, too. (Note: I apologize for all of these list posts and such - "filler posts", as I sometimes call them. Don't worry, for next Monday there should be a book review up on the blog; can't do it this Friday because that'll be our monthly reflection. If you have any suggestions for posts, feel free to tell me. I am always looking for post ideas!)

Julia's Summer TBR List 2016

Hello, everyone! So, as of last Monday, it is officially summer, no matter when you got off from school. (Although by now I would imagine that you are on your break.) With summer vacation comes more time, and lots of opportunity to get books read! (There will also be more time for blogging. Thank you, summer!) I am very excited to get reading this summer, and below is my complete list of books that I want to read this summer. Feel free to read "with me" by picking up some of these books this summer! Unfortunately, I know that I won't get to read them all. Notes: If you don't like the books listed below, check out another list of summer books: "Books to Look For: Summer 2016" . Also, they are not in a particular order, and I have no idea what order I will read them in.

Books to Look For: Summer 2016

Okay, while we all already have a really long TBR list of books that are already published, when new books come out, we just have to read them! Below you'll find a list that includes both books I am personally interested in and books that I think the majority of teens will like. So take a look: you might just find something! Just to let you know, the books are placed in no particular order. And, yes, I did add the pictures of the covers, because I know that those can be helpful (even if we aren't supposed to be judging books by their covers.)
